Dinner with a difference

It might look like a strange tunnel, a submerged shipwreck or an art installation but this is actually a super-cool new restaurant that’s at the top of my travel to-do list for 2019. Under is in Lindesnes on Norway’s most southerly tip and is due to open in the spring. It’s not so much on the seafront as in the actual sea – you descend the stairs to 5m below sea level, where you can gaze through the glass walls upon the North Atlantic’s marine life, with lobsters, cod and mini-sharks floating by as you dine. How brilliant is that? It’s the only one of its kind in Europe and the biggest underwater restaurant in the world, with space for 100 dinners. As you might expect, they’re promising a menu packed with ultra-fresh seafood. They’re already taking reservations here – I feel a trip back home coming on…
